Grab Rails - One Of The Important Accessories

GRAB RAILS FOR COMMERCIAL BATHROOM

Bathrooms can be a slip, trip and fall hazard if they are poorly maintained, or a high use area. If you have showers at your workplace, care home, hospital or school, it’s advisable to install bathroom grab rails where possible to reduce incidents and accidents.

WHERE SHOULD GRAB RAILS BE INSTALLED?

  • Every disabled or ambulant toilet should have toilet grab rails installed. This offers independence to a disabled person, but also offers a great help to any carer who may need to accompany them

  • Care homes.  Any residency or care home which looks after the infirm or aged population must have grab rails installed to minimise falls. They also offer confidence to the users and independence so that they can go to the bathroom independently.

  • Rehabilitation and hospitals. Anywhere which has a steady stream of people recovering from surgery or injuries should have stainless grab rails installed.

  • Public access bathrooms. Hotels, public toilet and shower blocks, sporting stadiums and other places where the public is permitted must have at least one ambulant bathroom with a grab rail.
